MEMS

Parylene has no pinhole at 0.2micron thickness and can withstand DC breakdown voltage above 1000V at 5 micron thickness. At the same time it is also a self-lubricating material with low friction coefficient with excellent chemical inertness and barrier property.

Printed Circuit Board

The excellent protective coating on the surface of various electronic printed circuit boards is one of the main applications of Parylene. Up to now, Parylene is still the best protective coating on PCB. It not only protects the circuit from moisture, mould and salt spray, but also effectively avoids the creepy between the wires, the breakdown phenomenon.

Hybrid Circuit

Parylene is the best protective coating on the surface of the circuit board under harsh environment. It was adapted into the US military standard MIL-I-46058C, which penetrates into the micro gap between the chip and the substrate (even up to 10m), providing complete protection and fixing metal chips and solder particles left in the manufacture processing, to avoid the potential impact of particles on the circuit, especially in space or military and other application which is difficult maintenance.

Transducer

In addition to insulation protection for the sensors, Parylene is also used as a protective material for harsh environment. The ultra-thin properties of Parylene provide good protection for sensors without changing the appearance, size, elasticity and weight of the sensor. At the same time, it provides good protection for the sensors. Sensors protected by Parylene include automobile sensors, corrosion environment sensors, biomedical sensors, acoustic sensors, etc.
